Quick Summary

Block Contactor ABB 1SBL136261R2300 provides reliable motor switching for industrial machinery and panel assemblies. Engineers contend with voltage swings and space constraints; AF technology with a wide 100–250 V control range stabilizes operations and reduces energy waste. The unit complies with IEC/EN 60947-4-1, UL 60335-2-40, CSA standards and carries CE/UKCA declarations, supporting global deployments. Designed for DIN rail mounting with TH35-15 or TH35-7.5 profiles and screw-terminal main connections, it also supports add-on auxiliary contact blocks for scalable control schemes. This combination delivers faster commissioning, easier service, and consistent performance across fluctuating networks, helping OEMs meet reliability targets and lower total cost of ownership.

Product Information

Extended Description

1SBL136261R2300 ABB: The AF09ZB-40-00-23 is a 4 pole - 690 V IEC or 600 UL contactor with screw terminals, controlling motors up to 4 kW / 400 V AC (AC-3) and switching power circuits up to 25 A (AC-1) or 25 A UL general use. Thanks to the AF technology, the contactor has a wide control voltage range (100-250 V 50/60 Hz and DC), managing large control voltage variations, reducing panel energy consumptions and ensuring distinct operations in unstable networks. Furthermore, surge protection is built-in, offering a compact solution. AF contactors have a block type design, can be easily extended with add-on auxiliary contact blocks and an additional wide range of accessories.

FAQs

Install the unit on a TH35-15 or TH35-7.5 DIN rail per IEC 60715. Use the screw terminals for main and control circuits, and ensure tightening torques are met (1.5 N·m for main circuit and 1.2 N·m for control circuit). Allow 10 mm wire stripping length and secure with appropriate hardware. This setup supports quick upgrades with add-on auxiliary blocks.
The device features a 690 V rated main circuit with AC-1 up to 25 A and AC-3 up to 9 A at various voltages, enabling motor control up to 4 kW at 400 V. It also supports 100–250 V control voltage and DC operation. Typical applications include conveyors, pumps, fans, and other industrial machinery needing reliable switching in fluctuating networks.
Yes. The contactor conforms to IEC/EN 60947-1 and 60947-4-1, UL 60335-2-40, CSA standards, and carries CE and UKCA declarations. These certifications support global deployments in home appliances, industrial equipment, and other controlled environments while meeting safety and performance requirements.
Main and auxiliary circuits use screw terminals with compatible conductor sizes as specified, and control circuits accept flexible ferrule or solid conductors. You can expand control logic by adding auxiliary contact blocks, enabling scalable NO/NC configurations without replacing the base contactor, which reduces wiring complexity and commissioning time.
Low coil power loss (0.8 W per pole at rated AC-1) reduces idle energy consumption, while built-in surge protection and robust insulation extend service life. The combination yields lower energy costs, fewer maintenance events, and faster fault isolation, contributing to a shorter payback period in automation projects.
