Part Number: 1SBL177205R1100
Quick Summary
ABB 1SBL177205R1100 Contactor is a four-pole device that controls motors and power circuits in industrial automation applications. A common challenge in panel design is maintaining reliable operation amid fluctuating control voltages and variable load demand. The AF technology supports a wide control voltage range of 24–60 V AC (50/60 Hz) and 20–60 V DC, while built-in surge protection enhances reliability across unstable networks. This model is certified to IEC/EN 60947-1 and 60947-4-1, UL 508 and CSA standards, with IP20 protection for coil and main terminals. Compact, easy to extend with add-on auxiliary blocks, and designed to minimize energy use in modern, energy-conscious facilities. For OEMs and panel builders, the combination of compact footprint, robust electrical ratings, and broad compatibility translates into lower integration risk and faster time to production.

FAQs
This ABB contactor is designed for DIN rail mounting on TH35-15 or TH35-7.5 rails, as well as screw mounting with two M4 screws. It uses Push-in Spring terminals for main and control circuits, and supports flexible and rigid conductor ranges. The compact 45 mm width and IP20 protection help streamline panel layout while maintaining safe terminations.
Rated Operational Current AC-1 at 690 V is 30 A (40 °C), 30 A (60 °C), 26 A (70 °C). Rated Operational Current AC-3 varies by voltage, for example 18 A at 380/400–690 V with 60 °C conditions. Rated Power AC-3 ranges up to 9 kW depending on voltage. These ratings support reliable motor starting and load switching in typical industrial drives.
Yes. The 1SBL177205R1100 is a 4P contactor rated for motors up to 7.5 kW at 400 V (AC-3) and up to 9 kW at higher voltages (e.g., 690 V). Its wide control voltage range and built-in surge protection help maintain reliable operation in conveyors and pumps, even with supply variations and transient spikes.
The device complies with IEC/EN 60947-1 and 60947-4-1, UL 508, CSA C22.2 No. 60947-1-13, and CSA No. 60947-4-1, with CE and UKCA declarations of conformity. It also features IP20 protection for coils and main terminals, and adheres to WEEE, RoHS and REACH requirements, supporting global procurement and compliance.
ROI benefits stem from AF technology with a broad control voltage range that reduces energy usage and stabilizes operation in fluctuating networks, plus faster installation via Push-in Spring terminals and a compact footprint that saves panel space. Add-ons for auxiliary contacts reduce the need for replacement when expanding functionality, lowering lifecycle costs and downtime in automated lines.
