Coil voltage compatibility and frequency match: The AFC26-22-00-51 operates with a control voltage of 50 Hz 400-415 V or 60 Hz 480 V, enabling direct integration with standard control circuits and reducing interface components. This improves reliability during startup and minimizes wiring errors in industrial automation projects, especially where multiple voltages converge in one panel. Result: faster commissioning and lower lifecycle costs in machine rooms and processing lines. 4P, 2 NO + 2 NC configuration: With four poles and mixed contact arrangement, it can simultaneously switch motor feeders and control circuits, enabling compact motor starters and easier fault isolation in conveyor systems and HVAC controls. Result: enhanced safety and simplified wiring schemes across large installations. Screw terminals and DIN rail mounting: Screw terminations offer secure connections, while TH35-15 DIN rail mounting supports quick, vibration-tolerant installation in standard control cabinets. Result: scalable panel layouts, easier retrofits, and reliable maintenance. Robust ratings and protection: Main circuit rated at 690 V with IP20 protection and a 46 A class capability, plus defined AC-1 and AC-3 operating currents, ensure dependable operation in demanding environments. Result: reduced replacement costs and compliant performance across machine tools and processing equipment. Extendability and accessories: The block contactor design accepts auxiliary contact blocks and various accessories for future expansion, keeping spare parts simple and maintaining system compatibility. Result: future-proof installations and lower total cost of ownership.

FAQs

The AFC26-22-00-51 is designed for DIN rail mounting in TH35-15 or TH35-7.5 profiles and uses screw terminals for secure main and control circuit connections. This combination supports rapid panel assembly, straightforward field wiring, and reliable retention in vibration-prone environments common to industrial control panels.
AC-1 rated operation is up to 45 A at 690 V main circuit, while AC-3 ratings adjust with voltage and temperature (for example, 21.2 A at 415 V, 60 °C, and down to 10.5 A at 690 V). These values guide selection for motor starting and switching loads in line with IEC/UL standards.
This contactor complies with IEC/EN 60947-1, IEC/EN 60947-4-1, UL 60947-1, UL 60947-4-1, plus CE and UKCA declarations, and BV/CB/DNV/RINA certifications are noted in the broader AF contactor family. This ensures regulatory acceptance across Europe, North America, and other regions.
Coil consumption includes approx. 8 VA holding power at 50/60 Hz, with pull-in values around 66–70 VA. Power loss is about 1.6 W per pole in AC-1 and 0.42 W per pole in AC-3, reducing heat generation in control cabinets and improving overall energy efficiency, particularly in large-scale automation setups.
Consider pairing with add-on auxiliary contact blocks for expanded logic and control, ensure correct screw terminal torque (2.5 N·m for main circuit, per datasheet), and use compatible mounting rails to minimize space. The modular design supports future upgrades and maintenance, delivering lower lifecycle costs and faster fault diagnosis in production lines.
