Quick Summary
ABB AF contactor AF26-30-11-11 is a three-pole motor-contactor for 400 V AC motors up to 11 kW. In demanding environments, voltage fluctuations can cause unreliable starts or nuisance trips; this AF technology tolerates wide control voltage variations, reducing panel energy waste and improving startup reliability. It complies with IEC/EN 60947-1 and IEC/EN 60947-4-1, UL 60335-2-40, and CSA standards, ensuring safe operation across global installations. Designed for compact panel spaces and easy expansion, this block contactor supports add-on auxiliary blocks and a broad range of accessories, delivering both performance and long-term cost efficiency for automation panels and machinery Control.
Product Information
Extended Description
1SBL237001R1111 ABB: The AF26-30-11-11 is a 3 pole - 690 V IEC or 600 UL contactor with pre-mounted auxiliary contacts and screw terminals, controlling motors up to 11 kW / 400 V AC (AC-3) or 15 hp / 480 V UL and switching power circuits up to 45 A (AC-1) or 45 A UL general use. Thanks to the AF technology, the contactor has a wide control voltage range (24-60 V 50/60 Hz and 20-60 V DC), managing large control voltage variations, reducing panel energy consumptions and ensuring distinct operations in unstable networks. Furthermore, surge protection is built-in, offering a compact solution. AF contactors have a block type design, can be easily extended with add-on auxiliary contact blocks and an additional wide range of accessories.

FAQs
The 1SBL237001R1111 is designed for quick DIN rail mounting using TH35-15 (35 x 15 mm) or TH35-7.5 rails. Position the device so that coil terminals are accessible, snap onto the rail, and secure with the bottom clip. For service, remove by pulling straight upward. Use 2 x M4 screws if screw mounting is required. This ensures robust mechanical support and straightforward field replacement.
Coil voltage supports 24-60 V AC/50-60 Hz and 20-60 V DC, allowing operation across fluctuating control signals. Rated operational current for AC-3 varies with supply: up to 26 A at 415/440/380-400 V, and down to about 17 A at 690 V, depending on ambient temperature. These specs align with IEC 60947-4-1 and UL/CSA data for consistent motor starting.
Yes, the AF contactor family complies with UL/CSA standards, including UL 60335-2-40 and CSA equivalent, and IEC 60947-4-1. It includes built-in surge protection and 6 kV rated impulse withstand, helping protect downstream devices. The product also supports IP20 protection at terminals and is suitable for general use in controlled environments.
The AF26-30-11-11 model ships with 1 NO and 1 NC auxiliary contact. You can extend with compatible auxiliary contact blocks to meet signaling or interlocking needs. Ensure terminal torque specifications (1.2 N·m for auxiliaries) are observed and that wiring uses appropriate ferrule or solid conductors within the 0.75–2.5 mm² (auxiliary) or 0.75–2.5 mm² (control) ranges. Dress wiring to prevent interference with main contacts.
This ABB AF contactor reduces energy waste through AF wide-range control and minimizes nuisance trips in unstable networks, improving line reliability. Its compact DIN-rail form, built-in surge protection, and scalable auxiliary options lower installation costs, save panel space, and simplify maintenance. For ROI, expect faster commissioning, fewer field failures, and easier expansion as control schemes evolve.
