Part Number: 1SBL277001R1111
Quick Summary
ABB AF30-30-11-11 Contactor provides reliable motor control for industrial equipment across varied plant environments. When control voltage fluctuates or in harsh electrical networks, panels waste energy and risk unplanned downtime. This block contactor meets IEC/EN 60947-4-1, UL 60335-2-40, and CSA classifications, ensuring safe operation, easy integration, and regulatory compliance. Designed for seamless DIN rail mounting and AF technology integration, it helps reduce panel footprint and energy usage while supporting scalable motor protection and control. ABB's AF line is designed for long service life in demanding environments, supported by global certifications and a broad accessories ecosystem.
Product Information
Extended Description
1SBL277001R1111 ABB: The AF30-30-11-11 is a 3 pole - 690 V IEC or 600 UL contactor with pre-mounted auxiliary contacts and screw terminals, controlling motors up to 15 kW / 400 V AC (AC-3) or 20 hp / 480 V UL and switching power circuits up to 50 A (AC-1) or 50 A UL general use. Thanks to the AF technology, the contactor has a wide control voltage range (24-60 V 50/60 Hz and 20-60 V DC), managing large control voltage variations, reducing panel energy consumptions and ensuring distinct operations in unstable networks. Furthermore, surge protection is built-in, offering a compact solution. AF contactors have a block type design, can be easily extended with add-on auxiliary contact blocks and an additional wide range of accessories.

FAQs
The AF30-30-11-11 is designed for DIN rail mounting on TH35-15 or TH35-7.5 profiles, compatible with standard EN 60715 rails. It also supports mounting by screws (two M4 screws diagonally) if you’re working with non-rail enclosures. Ensure proper clearance and wire routing, tighten terminals to the specified torque, and use add-on auxiliary contact blocks to extend functionality as your application grows.
The contactor offers a wide control circuit voltage range: 24–60 V for AC operation at 50/60 Hz and 20–60 V for DC operation. This flexibility reduces panel wiring complexity and voltage mismatch issues when integrating with PLCs, relays, or dumb controllers. Selecting the correct coil variant ensures reliable energization across typical European and North American control environments.
Yes, this contactor is designed for AC-3 operation. Rated Operational Current AC-3 at 690 V ranges from 21 A to 32 A depending on ambient temperature, with AC-3e values similar and suitable for motor starting and running. In the 400 V range, AC-3 power can reach up to 15 kW, enabling control of mid-range motors while preserving switching reliability and short-time withstand capabilities.
The AF30-30-11-11 complies with IEC/EN 60947-1 and 60947-4-1 standards, UL 60335-2-40, and CSA certifications, ensuring safety and performance in global markets. It also aligns with RoHS and REACH declarations and provides WEEE B2B classification for proper end-of-life handling, supporting streamlined regulatory approvals and supplier qualification processes.
With robust construction, 45 mm width footprint, screw terminals, and screw terminals rated for 1/2x 10 mm², the AF30-30-11-11 offers reliable long-term operation. Maintenance involves periodic inspection of terminal torques (2.5 N·m main, 1.2 N·m auxiliary), checking coil resistance, and using add-on blocks to simplify future expansion. Overall, lifecycle costs are reduced through durable specs and modular design.
