Feature → Business Impact → Application: Four-pole design with four normally open main contacts and no normally closed contacts enables safe, single-device switching of 3-phase loads up to 690 V, reducing panel footprint and wiring complexity in machine controls and power distribution schemes. This translates to faster installation, easier maintenance, and improved reliability in conveyors, pumps, and packaging lines. Feature → Business Impact → Application: Coil voltage of 110 V AC for 50 Hz and 110–120 V AC for 60 Hz ensures compatibility with standard control circuits in global plants, minimizing required control hardware and simplifying panel layouts. Application areas include centralized automation cabinets and retrofit projects where voltage mismatches previously caused delays. Feature → Business Impact → Application: Low power loss (2.3 W per pole at AC-1) and defined pull-in/holding values improve energy efficiency and reduce heat in control panels, extending component life and lowering cooling requirements in food processing, textiles, and material handling. Feature → Business Impact → Application: DIN rail mounting (TH35), screw-terminal connectivity, and clearly defined wire sizes (1/2x 1.5 … 16 mm² main circuit) streamline installation and plug-and-play expansion with add-on auxiliary contact blocks for S/P configurations in motor control centers. Feature → Business Impact → Application: Robust mechanical endurance (up to 3600 cycles per hour) and high insulation ratings (U_i up to 690 V) deliver long service life in harsh industrial environments, minimizing downtime in CNC machines and packaging lines. Feature → Business Impact → Application: Compliance data and wide standards coverage (IEC/EN 60947-1, 60947-4-1; UL/CSA; CE/UKCA) simplify procurement and regulatory audits, offering a verified basis for safe operation in automotive, printing, or process industries.

FAQs
The 1SBL291201R8400 is designed for TH35-15 or TH35-7.5 DIN rails. Mount the device securely on the rail, align with adjacent modules, and attach the main circuit conductors to the screw terminals using rigid or flexible conductors within 1/2x 16 mm² (as applicable). Use the recommended tightening torque of 2.5 N·m on main terminals and 1.2 N·m on control terminals. Wire stripping lengths are 12 mm for the main circuit and 10 mm for the control circuit. Ensure clean insulation and verify zero clearance around heat sources before energizing.
For AC-1 operation at 690 V, the rated current is 55 A at 40 °C, decreasing to 45 A at 60 °C and 37 A at 70 °C. For AC-3 operation, ratings vary by voltage: at 415 V and 60 °C it is 21.2 A; at 440 V it is 20 A; at 690 V it is 10.5 A; and at 220–240 V it is 23.2 A. These figures guide starter selection for motor loads and compressor circuits.
Yes, as a 4-pole block contactor it is well-suited for motor control and switchgear in AC-driven applications. It supports add-on auxiliary contact blocks and AF platform accessories for expanded control schemes. Compatibility with DIN-rail mounting and screw-terminal connections simplifies integration into existing panels and enables future expansion without replacing the base device.
The device carries IEC/EN 60947-1 and 60947-4-1 standards, UL/CSA listings, and CE/UKCA declarations. These certifications support global compliance for panel builders and end users, facilitating cross-border procurement and reducing the time spent on conformity assessments in industries such as energy, manufacturing, and process automation.
ROI benefits come from reduced energy consumption (2.3 W per pole at AC-1), lower heat rise, and extended life due to reliable switching and compact design. The device’s 3600 cycles per hour mechanical endurance supports longer service intervals, minimizing maintenance costs. Its modularity reduces spares inventory and accelerates commissioning in new or retrofitted automation lines.
