FAQs

Begin by confirming the mounting on TH35-15 DIN rails per IEC 60715 and ensure ample clearance for heat dissipation. Attach the device to the rail, then secure the main and control circuit connections using the screw terminals. Use the specified torque values (Main Circuit 6 N·m, Control Circuit 1.2 N·m) and verify conductor sizing (up to 50 mm² for main, 2.5 mm² for control). Finally, check coil voltage compatibility (110 V AC 50/60 Hz) and perform a functional test to confirm proper coil energization and contact opening/closing sequences.
This 4P block contactor provides 4 NO main contacts with IEC AC-1 ratings up to 125 A at 690 V and UL/CSA ratings up to 105 A. For AC-3, it supports up to 80 A at common industrial voltages. The device is rated for main circuit insulation up to 1000 V and features a maximum switching frequency of 600 cycles per hour for AC-1, with higher mechanical cycling capability for frequent actuation scenarios.
Yes. The 4P configuration with 4 NO contacts and robust IEC/UL ratings makes it well-suited for motor control in conveyors, pumps, fans, and similar drive applications. Its coil voltage options and compatibility with add-on auxiliary blocks support scalable control schemes, while the 125 A IEC AC-1 and 80 A AC-3 ratings align with typical motor-start and start/stop sequences in automation lines.
The AFC80-40-00-84 family carries CE and UKCA declarations, UL/CSA certifications, and CB, BV, DNV, and RINA references, providing broad regulatory coverage for global deployments. This suite supports safe electrical installation, regulatory conformity, and product traceability across multiple markets, reducing validation time for multinational equipment builds.
With screw terminals and modular add-on accessories, maintenance is straightforward and field-service friendly, minimizing downtime during replacements or upgrades. The device’s low power loss (8 W per pole for AC-1, 3.2 W for AC-3) contributes to cooler operation and energy efficiency, while a robust mechanical design supports long service life in high-cycle environments, delivering measurable TCO improvements.
