FAQs
Install the device on a TH35-15 DIN rail as specified, ensuring adequate clearance for heat dissipation. Use the recommended 4 mm or 5 mm screwdriver size for terminal tightening and secure the main circuit connections with flexible or rigid conductors within the 6 to 70 mm² range. Verify coil terminations are correctly seated and test continuity after mounting to confirm proper operation.
For AC-1 at 690 V and 40 °C, the contactor is rated up to 125 A; at 60 °C it’s 105 A, and at 70 °C it’s 90 A. For AC-3, ratings vary by voltage: for common industrial voltages (e.g., 415–690 V) it can handle up to 80 A, with reduced ratings at higher temperatures. These ratings enable reliable motor control for pumps, conveyors, and fans within those limits.
Yes. The AFC contactors in this family use a block-type design that accepts add-on auxiliary contact blocks, enabling expanded signaling, interlocking, and control logic. This compatibility supports scalable automation architectures and easier integration with existing AF platform accessories without replacing the core contactor.
The device complies with IEC/EN 60947-1 and IEC/EN 60947-4-1, UL 60947-1, UL 60947-4-1, and CSA equivalents. CE and UKCA declarations cover market compliance, with additional certifications noted (BV, DNV, RINA, UL US/CA). This ensures regulatory alignment for global deployments and customer audits.
Expect reduced downtime due to robust mechanical design (3600 cycles per hour) and reliable AC-1/AC-3 operation up to 125 A. Coil holding and pull-in consumption are specified for steady energy use, while screw terminals and DIN-rail mounting simplify service and replacements. Over time, this translates to lower maintenance costs and improved machine uptime in automated lines.
