Product Information

Extended Description

1SBL397061R1111 ABB: The AF80B-30-11-11 is a 3 pole - 1000 V IEC or 600 UL contactor with pre-mounted auxiliary contacts and screw terminals, controlling motors up to 37 kW / 400 V AC (AC-3) or 60 hp / 480 V UL and switching power circuits up to 125 A (AC-1) or 105 A UL general use. Thanks to the AF technology, the contactor has a wide control voltage range (24-60 V 50/60 Hz and 20-60 V DC), managing large control voltage variations, reducing panel energy consumptions and ensuring distinct operations in unstable networks. Furthermore, surge protection is built-in, offering a compact solution. AF contactors have a block type design, can be easily extended with add-on auxiliary contact blocks and an additional wide range of accessories.

FAQs

This ABB block contactor supports DIN rail mounting on TH35-15 rails and can be screwed to a panel using two M4 or M6 screws placed diagonally. The combination provides flexible installation in compact control cabinets while maintaining secure termination and ease of service during maintenance.
The coil operates within 24 to 60 V for AC supply at 50/60 Hz and 20 to 60 V for DC operation. This wide range accommodates voltage variations in industrial networks and reduces the need for frequent panel power conditioning, improving reliability in fluctuating environments.
Yes. It supports AC-3 operation with rated powers up to 45 kW at higher voltages (e.g., 690 V) and 22–37 kW at lower voltages, depending on the circuit configuration. This makes it suitable for starting and stopping three-phase motors in industrial and rolling stock applications.
The device complies with IEC/EN 60947-1 and IEC/EN 60947-4-1, and UL/CSA listings for contactors. It also aligns with EN 50155 applicable parts and other regional safety standards, ensuring regulatory readiness for global deployments and rail-focused installations.
Built-in surge protection, a compact block design, and extendable auxiliary contacts reduce panel space and wiring complexity. The wide coil voltage tolerance lowers energy waste and voltage-related faults, contributing to longer service intervals and lower life-cycle costs for machine builders and end-users.
