Three-pole main circuit with an integrated auxiliary contact set provides robust motor switching and immediate feedback to the control system, reducing the risk of missed starts and improving protection coordination. This translates to fewer unplanned outages and better conveyor, pump, or mixer performance in busy production lines. The AF platform supports a wide control voltage range of 250–500 V (AC) and DC, which lowers spare-part inventories and simplifies panel design when voltage fluctuations are common in shared facilities. Built-in surge protection further guards against transient spikes, extending contactor life and reducing maintenance costs in high-dynamic environments. The compact block design with double clamp terminals saves panel space and delivers straightforward installation, while compatibility with add-on auxiliary contact blocks enables scalable monitoring, interlocking, and fault-indication schemes. With a rated AC-3 power handling up to 140 A at 415–440 V, this device is well suited for town-scale motors and HVAC applications, and its 3P configuration supports reliable, synchronized operation across multi-motor drives. Compliance to IEC 60947-1 / 60947-4-1, EN 60947-1 / 60947-4-1, UL 508 and CSA N°14 ensures regulatory alignment and traceability. The unit also offers IP20 coil terminals and IP00 main terminals for safer, cleaner installation in standard control panels. The option to select add-on accessories means you can tailor the solution for specific interlock, signaling, or protection needs without replacing the base device. In short, the AF140N4-30-11-14 blends rugged performance with modular expandability, supporting energy efficiency, lifecycle cost reduction, and faster time to production sign-off.

FAQs
Install the 3P main contacts using the recommended flexible or rigid copper cables: 2 x 10 to 70 mm² for flexible connections, and 1 x 10 to 95 mm² for rigid cables. Use the double clamp terminals for secure connections, tighten main circuit bolts to the specified torque, and wire the auxiliary contacts for signaling or interlocking. The unit fits standard control panels and supports add-on contact blocks for expanded control logic, reducing wiring complexity while improving fault detection.
Main circuit rated voltage is up to 1000 V with 50/60 Hz operation. Rated operational current AC-3 ranges depending on voltage (up to 140 A at 415–440 V, down to 80 A at 690 V). Mechanical durability is rated at 5 million cycles, and it supports up to 75 kW at 415 V under AC-3, making it suitable for demanding motor loads in mid-size facilities.
Yes. The AF140N4-30-11-14 is designed for AC-3 motor loads such as conveyors and pumps, with a 3P configuration and 1000 V insulation rating. Its wide control voltage tolerance (250–500 V) and built-in surge protection help maintain reliable operation in networks with voltage fluctuations, while the compact form factor simplifies panel installation.
The contactor complies with IEC 60947-1 / 60947-4-1 and EN 60947-1 / 60947-4-1, UL 508, and CSA C22.2 N°14. This ensures safety, interoperability, and regulatory acceptance across international markets, supporting quality management and product traceability in engineering procurement processes.
AF technology offers a wide control voltage range and robust surge protection, reducing wiring changes and transient-related failures. The result is lower maintenance costs, higher equipment availability, and a longer service life for motor control cabinets. Availability of add-on auxiliary blocks also supports scalable monitoring and interlock schemes, improving overall system reliability and uptime.
