FAQs
The device uses Double Clamp terminals. Main Circuit supports Flexible 2 x 10–70 mm² or rigid Cu-Cable 1 x 10–95 mm², while Auxiliary Circuit accepts Flexible 0.75–2.5 mm² (with or without ferrules), Solid 1–4 mm², or Stranded 1–4 mm². Wire stripping length for auxiliary is 9 mm. Use the recommended screwdrivers: M6 for main, M3.5 for control. Tightening torques are 8 N·m (main), 1 N·m (auxiliary), and 1 N·m (control). This layout simplifies field installation and ensures reliable, vibration-resistant connections.
Coil voltage range is 50 Hz 48–130 V, 60 Hz 48–130 V, and DC 48–130 V. Coil consumption varies by state: holding at max rated voltage is 6 V·A (50 Hz) or 2 W (50 Hz), 6 V·A (60 Hz) or 2 W (60 Hz), and 2.5 W for DC. Pull-in energy is 180 V·A (50 Hz/60 Hz). These values help estimate control power needs and ensure proper drive sizing for energy efficiency and reliable operation.
Yes. At 690 V and 60 °C, Ie AC-3 is 80 A, with Pe AC-3 rated at 75 kW (for 415 V systems) and 75 kW across common voltages in the AC-3 region. Rated breaking capacity is 8 x Ie AC-3, with robust 8 kV impulse withstand and 1000 V insulation rating. The device supports up to 300 cycles per hour for AC-1 and 150 cycles per hour for AC-2/AC-4, making it suitable for demanding motor-control applications.
The AF contactor carries CE Declaration of Conformity and UL/cULus certification, with UL A2L documentation for certain configurations. It complies with RoHS II and REACH declarations, TSCA for chemical compliance, and WEEE guidance for B2B. Additional endorsements include EN/IEC standards for insulation, impulse withstand, and mechanical durability, ensuring safe operation in global facilities and aiding in regulatory audits.
AF technology delivers a wide control voltage range, reducing panel energy consumption and risk of nuisance trips. The built-in surge protection enhances reliability in fluctuating networks, while the modular design with add-on auxiliary blocks enables scalable control for multi-motor setups. Combined with compact size and low coil consumption, this reduces footprint, maintenance costs, and total cost of ownership in automation projects.
