FAQs

This model uses main circuit bars for connections, so plan panel layout to accommodate bar terminals and required clearance. The 3P configuration with 2 NO and 2 NC auxiliary contacts supports flexible wiring for interlocking and signaling. Ensure compatible add-on auxiliary contact blocks are available and that mounting aligns with standard ABB accessory kits to maintain reliability and serviceability.
The AF190B-30-22RT-14 coil operates from 250 to 500 V, available for both 50/60 Hz AC and DC control. Holding current is specified at 16.1 V·A, while pull-in values reach up to 260 V·A depending on frequency. This wide range supports varied control supplies without compromising switching performance or reliability.
Yes. The contactor provides AC-3 rated performance up to 110 kW at 1000 V, with 132 kW available at 690 V in the AC-3 path. For practical installations, a 90 kW motor at common industrial voltages (e.g., 380–415 V) is well within the device’s AC-3 capability, delivering reliable starting and switching with robust protection.
This ABB contactor carries CE and UL/CSA certifications, with UR, CCC, UKCA, and EAC documentation as applicable. It aligns with IEC/EN 60947-1 and 60947-4-1 standards, and ABB provides corresponding conformity declarations, ensuring compliance for global installations and formal qualification for safety and performance in diverse markets.
Built-in surge protection mitigates transient overcurrents, reducing wear on contacts and extending life. The wide control voltage range minimizes panel power losses by tolerating supply variations, decreasing energyefficiency costs over time. Together, these features lower maintenance intervals, reduce downtime, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) in continuous-production environments.
