AF technology enables a wide control voltage range of 250-500 V, reducing panel energy consumption and ensuring stable operation across fluctuating networks. This is critical for customers running variable power sources or remote installations where voltage sags are common, enabling reliable motor starting and reduced downtime. The 3-pole main contactor with 3 NO and 2 NO auxiliary contacts, plus built-in surge protection, delivers robust motor control for up to 132 kW at 400 V AC (AC-3) and 350 A general-use current at 1000 V. The block design is expandable with add-on auxiliary contact blocks and a broad accessory family, supporting scalable control architectures and simpler retrofit. Mechanical durability of 5 million operations and a maximum switching frequency of 300 cycles per hour translate to longer service intervals and lower maintenance costs, while the compact footprint fits standard control panels.

FAQs

Installation begins with mounting the three-pole block contactor in a suitable enclosure and securing it with the provided hardware. Connect the main circuit bars to the three NO contacts and wire the two NO auxiliary contacts as needed. Verify the coil supply is within 250-500 V AC/DC and ensure the built-in surge protection is active. Use the pre-mounted ferrules for tidy wiring and consult the AF(S)190 to AF(S)370 manuals for detailed diagrams.
Key specs include a 3-pole main contactor rated AC-3 up to approximately 265 A at 415-690 V and up to 132 kW at 400 V. It supports a 1000 V insulation rating, coil control of 250-500 V, and built-in surge protection. The unit offers up to 5 million mechanical cycles and a maximum switching frequency of 300 cycles per hour, ensuring reliable starts for pumps, fans and conveyors.
Yes. The AF265B family carries UL/CSA General Use ratings, CE declarations of conformity, and UKCA markings. It also aligns with IEC/EN 60947-1 and 60947-4-1 standards, along with additional certificates such as CCC and EAC, enabling compliant use across North America, Europe, and parts of Asia in panel assemblies and equipment.
AF technology broadens the control voltage range to 250-500 V AC/DC, enabling stable operation despite voltage variations and reducing energy waste in control circuits. The built-in surge protection further extends life in unstable networks. Together, these features lower energy costs and improve uptime for motor drives and control panels, especially in facilities with variable mains or remote installations.
The product offers up to 5 million mechanical operations and a modular accessory ecosystem, reducing maintenance events and downtime. Its expandable auxiliary contact blocks support future control system upgrades without replacing the base device. Combined with AF technology-driven energy savings, this delivers favorable total cost of ownership and faster project payback for industrial automation installations.
