Feature → Business Impact → Application: The contactor’s wide control-circuit voltage range (100-250 V AC/DC) and AF technology reduce control-signal sensitivity, enabling stable motor operation across fluctuating networks while lowering energy waste. This translates to measurable energy savings and improved uptime in continuous process lines such as conveyors and pumps. Application-wise, we see clearer benefits in manufacturing environments where voltage dips are common and reliability is mission-critical. Feature → Business Impact → Application: Integrated surge protection and a compact block design protect downstream electronics and save valuable panel space, reducing overall enclosure footprint and wiring complexity. This yields lower installation costs and easier maintenance, especially in retrofits or space-constrained control cabinets. Typical applications include machine centers, packaging lines, and HVAC systems where tight layouts demand efficient, protected control gear. Feature → Business Impact → Application: Four main NO contacts plus two NO and two NC auxiliary contacts, pre-mounted ferrules, and compatibility with add-on auxiliary blocks provide flexible signaling and future expandability without rework. The business impact is clearer fault indication, easier diagnostics, and smoother upgrades for evolving automation needs. Use cases include motor starters with enhanced feedback for automated lines and safety interlocks in packaging and material handling. Feature → Business Impact → Application: High current ratings for AC-3 and AC-1 (e.g., up to 305 A at 415-440 V for AC-3) support large motors up to 160 kW, enabling one device to control substantial loads and reducing the number of parallel starters required. This lowers hardware costs and simplifies procurement for OEMs and end users. Typical installations involve pump stations, fans, and belt-driven conveyors in medium to large industrial facilities. Feature → Business Impact → Application: Robust mechanical durability (5 million cycles) and a maximum switching frequency of 300 cycles per hour deliver long life in demanding duty cycles, lowering maintenance frequency and replacement costs. This is particularly valuable in continuous production lines and automated processing plants where reliability is essential. Applications span metal fabrication, textiles, and process automation where consistent operation reduces unplanned downtime.

FAQs

Plan for a four-pole installation with four main contacts and two NO plus two NC auxiliary contacts. Ensure panel space accommodates a 184 mm width, 180 mm depth, and 225 mm height unit with a 5.7 kg weight. Use pre-mounted auxiliary blocks and ferrules to simplify wiring and reduce assembly time, while confirming 1000 V insulation ratings and appropriate conductor sizing for the main circuit.
The 100-250 V AC/DC coil range enables reliable pull-in and holding across fluctuating control voltages, minimizing misoperation during network instability. This reduces nuisance tripping and energy waste, improving uptime for conveyors, pumps, and fans in manufacturing environments where supply quality varies.
Yes. With AC-3 ratings up to 305 A at typical 415–440 V ranges, the device handles motors up to about 160 kW and withstands demanding switching cycles. The built-in surge protection and robust mechanical durability (5 million cycles) contribute to reliable operation in harsh industrial settings and reduce maintenance frequency.
The unit carries CE, UL/CSA, and UKCA certifications, along with UL certificates for specific AF265-40, AF305-40, and AF370-40 variants. These approvals ease global procurement, support regulatory compliance across regions, and simplify risk assessment for multinational projects.
ROI comes from energy efficiency, reduced energy waste due to voltage variations, lower maintenance due to higher mechanical durability, and easier expansion with add-on auxiliary blocks. The device’s compact footprint also reduces panel space, enabling more efficient control cabinets and potential cost savings during retrofits or new line builds.
