FAQs

The AF370-30-11-42 is a three-pole block contactor designed for 1000 V main circuits and can be paired with standard auxiliary contact blocks. It supports a compact DIN-rail compatible footprint in AF series panels and uses a block design that simplifies busbar connections and front-accessible wiring, reducing install time and risk of wiring errors.
Key ratings include: three main NO contacts (3P), main circuit voltage up to 1000 V, AC-3 current up to 370 A at 60 C and 315 A at higher voltages, and AC-1 up to 400 A at 1000 V. Coil voltage is 110–120 V at 50/60 Hz, with overall power loss of 72 W per pole (AC-1) and 27 W per pole (AC-3), aiding thermal management planning.
Yes. The AF370-30-11-42 carries CE, UKCA, and UL/CSA certifications, along with RoHS compliance and UL-listed general-use ratings. This makes it suitable for global deployments in automotive, energy, and manufacturing facilities while meeting regulatory requirements for panel assemblies.
The block design enables straightforward expansion with auxiliary contact blocks, reducing future replacement needs. Built-in surge protection improves reliability in unstable networks, lowering maintenance calls. Mechanical durability of up to 5 million operations minimizes replacement intervals, contributing to lower total cost of ownership in continuous-duty applications.
Common applications include motor protection and control in conveyors, pumps, fans, and presses within heavy industry. ROI is driven by energy efficiency (lower power loss), reduced panel space due to the compact AF design, and extended motor life from controlled switching with built-in protection, yielding lower downtime and maintenance costs over time.
