ABB AF370B-30-22RT-14 Contactor - UL/CSA 60947-4-1
Part Number: 1SFL607062R1422
Quick Summary
ABB AF370B-30-22RT-14 Contactor is a 3-pole motor starter designed for AC motors up to 200 kW. In practice, voltage fluctuations and surge events in control panels can cause nuisance trips and wasted energy, but this AF technology stabilizes operation with a wide 250–500 V control range and built-in surge protection. Key certifications support global deployment: CE marking for Europe, UL/CSA General Use ratings for North America, and UKCA alongside UR/cURus recognition for expanded markets. The result is a reliable, scalable solution that reduces energy use and maintenance while simplifying panel wiring and future expansion for industrial automation lines.
Product Information
Extended Description
1SFL607062R1422 ABB: The AF370B-30-22RT-14 is a 3 pole - 1000 V IEC or 600 V UL contactor with pre-mounted auxiliary contacts and ring tongue ferrules, controlling motors up to 200 kW / 400 V AC (AC-3) or 300 hp / 480 V UL and switching power circuits up to 600 A (AC-1) or 520 A UL general use. Thanks to the AF technology, the contactor has a wide control voltage range (250-500 V 50/60 Hz ), managing large control voltage variations, reducing panel energy consumptions and ensuring distinct operations in unstable networks. Furthermore, surge protection is built-in, offering a compact solution. AF contactors have a block type design, can be easily extended with add-on auxiliary contact blocks and an additional wide range of accessories.

FAQs
Yes. The AF370B-30-22RT-14 is designed with a block-type architecture and supports add-on auxiliary contact blocks, enabling easy field upgrades and scalable control configurations within standard ABB AF/AF(S) motor protection lines. Ensure proper rating alignment for voltage and current and follow the included installation instructions for modular expansion.
For AC-3 duty, the contactor offers up to 315 A at 690 V and 100 A at 1000 V, with rating variations depending on ambient temperature (typically 55 °C). These values support robust motor starting for medium to high-power applications while maintaining safe margin in high-voltage installations.
Yes. The AF370B-30-22RT-14 carries CE and UL/CSA general-use ratings, plus UKCA marking, along with UR/cURus recognition and CB/CCC declarations where applicable. This ensures regulatory compliance across Europe, North America, and the UK, simplifying cross-border procurement and field service.
The coil supports 250–500 V (50/60 Hz) and DC operation, with holding and pull-in energy figures provided in the datasheet. This wide range helps tolerate control voltage variations, reduces nuisance trips, and improves overall panel energy efficiency in environments with fluctuating supply voltages.
The AF370B-30-22RT-14 offers 5 million mechanical cycles and a maximum switching rate of 300 cycles per hour, which translates to extended service life and lower replacement costs in continuous-running applications. Combined with compact dimensions and modular expansion, this reduces total cost of ownership in automation lines.
