Quick Summary

ABB BC7-30-10 Mini Contactor is a compact 3-pole switch for controlling loads up to 5.5 kW with a 110–125 V DC coil. In space-constrained panels, engineers struggle with reliability, noise, and mounting flexibility. It carries IEC/EN 60947-1 and UL/CSA approvals, with CE and UKCA marks, ensuring global compliance across installations. The combination of a small footprint, low coil power, and straightforward DIN rail mounting translates to reduced enclosure size and lower installation costs for commercial and light industrial systems.

FAQs

The BC7-30-10 supports DIN rail mounting on TH35-15 or TH35-7.5 rails and is equipped with screw terminals for main, auxiliary, and control circuits. Main and auxiliary circuits permit flexible wiring with ferrule 1/2 x 1 to 2.5 mm² or rigid conductors up to 4 mm², making retrofits straightforward in standard European panels.
For AC-3 operation at 230 V, the device is rated 12 A (55°C) and remains 12 A at 400 V (55°C). At 500 V, it is 9 A (55°C), and at 690 V NO, it is 3.5 A. AC-1 ratings extend to 20 A at lower voltages, with 4 A on certain DC control conditions, reflecting its suitability for motor and control circuit switching.
Yes. It is a 3-pole device designed for three-phase loads up to several kilowatts (AC-3 power ratings up to 5.5 kW in higher voltage configurations). With a 110–125 V DC coil, robust breaking capacity, and DIN rail mounting, it suits HVAC, pumps, conveyors, and similar industrial applications needing reliable phase control with compact form factor.
The product carries IEC/EN 60947-1 and 60947-4-1, UL 60947-1 and 60947-4-1, UL/CSA marks, and CE/UKCA equivalents, among others. These certifications ensure safe electrical performance, cross-border compliance, and compatibility with global installation requirements, reducing procurement risk for international projects.
With a mechanical durability of 10,000,000 cycles and a rated short-time withstand current of 96 A, the unit supports high-cycle switching with minimal downtime. Low coil consumption (3.5 W holding/pull-in) reduces heat, improves energy efficiency, and lowers total cost of ownership in automated systems.
