Product description
The socket strips are available in various country-specific variants with different functional elements. Special attention has been devoted to practical, universal fastening: Variable attachment facilities have been created with an angle bracket which may be inserted in four positions. Hence, for example, the 482 mm long socket strips may optionally be mounted on 482.6mm (19") mounting angles, the 482.6 mm (19") mounting frame, on the enclosure frame, or in the rear section of the wall-mounted distributor. Socket strips with a length of more than 482 mm can only be fitted on the enclosure frame. The socket strip may be inserted into all sections with a 25 mm hole pattern, without the need for additional mounting accessories. This makes selection much easier, as well as providing additional flexibility and saving on warehousing. Provision has also been made for cable routing of the infeed, and when mounting in the 482.6 mm (19") section there is adequate space to route the infeed between the socket strip and the profile rail without kinks. The arrangement of the IEC 320 sockets at a 45° angle allows unrestricted use of angular connectors.

FAQs

The DK 7240.260 offers variable attachment with an angle bracket insertable in four positions, allowing mounting on 19" mounting angles, 19" mounting frames, enclosure frames, or in rear wall-distributor sections. This enables rapid adaptation to different cabinet designs without additional hardware, improving installation speed and reducing stock diversity.
This socket strip is rated for 250 V AC at 50 Hz and a maximum current of 10 A. It includes seven CEE 7/3 (type F) sockets, a 2 m H05VV-F3G1.0 connection cable, IEC 60320 C14 inlet (type E), and a 10 A protective fuse to support safe operation within standard enclosure power distribution requirements.
Yes. The design supports mounting on enclosure frames and is compatible with 482.6 mm (19") sections. In longer variants, mounting on the enclosure frame is preferred, while shorter variants offer flexible placement with the built-in four-position angle brackets. This ensures seamless integration into existing 19" racks and wall-mounted distributors.
The supply includes the socket strip itself, two mounting brackets, assembly parts, and a 2 m connection cable (H05VV-F3G1.0) with a C14 inlet and a 10 A G fuse. Additional hardware is not required for standard installations, enabling faster deployment and reducing the risk of missing components during installation.
A charging current reserve is recommended to prevent incorrect activation from starting-current spikes. This guidance helps ensure reliable startup of connected loads, particularly for units with embedded UPS functionality or when multiple sockets are energised simultaneously. Plan the power distribution layout to provide adequate headroom for startup currents in critical applications.
