Design
With overvoltage protection and interference suppression filter
Product description
The socket strips are available in various country-specific variants with different functional elements. Special attention has been devoted to practical, universal fastening: Variable attachment facilities have been created with an angle bracket which may be inserted in four positions. Hence, for example, the 482 mm long socket strips may optionally be mounted on 482.6mm (19") mounting angles, the 482.6 mm (19") mounting frame, on the enclosure frame, or in the rear section of the wall-mounted distributor. Socket strips with a length of more than 482 mm can only be fitted on the enclosure frame. The socket strip may be inserted into all sections with a 25 mm hole pattern, without the need for additional mounting accessories. This makes selection much easier, as well as providing additional flexibility and saving on warehousing. Provision has also been made for cable routing of the infeed, and when mounting in the 482.6 mm (19") section there is adequate space to route the infeed between the socket strip and the profile rail without kinks. The arrangement of the IEC 320 sockets at a 45° angle allows unrestricted use of angular connectors.

Product description
DK Socket strip, with overvoltage protection, earthing-pin (type F, CEE 7/3), 9-way, 250 V, 16 A, LxHxD: 658.6x44x44 mm, connection cable with wire end ferrules, length: 2 m
Feature → Business Impact → Application: The socket strip integrates overvoltage protection and an interference suppression filter, reducing risk of equipment damage and minimizing downtime in electrical installations. This protection translates into improved system reliability for automated machinery and production lines, particularly in environments with variable supply conditions. Application-wise, the 9‑way IEC 320 sockets with earthing-pin (type F, CEE 7/3) provide a robust, easy-to-wire power distribution solution for control panels and switchgear housings. Feature → Business Impact → Application: Aluminium section with natural anodising and polycarbonate socket inserts deliver a durable, lightweight chassis and durable interfaces ideal for harsh industrial environments. This supports long service life and lower maintenance costs when deployed in 482 mm (19”) sections and enclosure frames. Feature → Business Impact → Application: Flexible mounting options, including four-position angle brackets and compatibility with 482.6 mm (19”) mounting angles or frames, decrease install time and reduce inventory complexity, enabling rapid deployment in modular enclosures. Feature → Business Impact → Application: A 2 m H05VV-F3G1.5 connection cable with wire end ferrules simplifies field wiring and reduces the risk of connection errors, delivering faster commissioning and greater reliability in panel builds. Feature → Business Impact → Application: 25 mm pitch pattern installation and a 658.6 mm length enable scalable distribution along enclosure frames, allowing incremental expansion without rework and supporting future PCI or I/O expansion plans. Feature → Business Impact → Application: The product’s material composition, weight, and packaging (1.2 kg per pack) balance robustness and logistics, supporting efficient warehouse handling and straightforward stock management for procurement teams.

FAQs

The DK 7240.330 supports four-position angle brackets and can be mounted in 482.6 mm (19 inch) frames or enclosure frames. It fits into 25 mm hole patterns and allows routing of the infeed between the strip and the profile rail. Longer strips (> 482 mm) must be mounted on the enclosure frame for stability and accessibility.
Overvoltage protection mitigates voltage spikes that can damage sockets and connected devices, reducing unplanned downtime and extending the life of power distribution components. Combined with EMI suppression, it helps maintain consistent performance in industrial environments and supports safer, more reliable control panel operation.
Yes. The socket strip is designed for 19-inch (482.6 mm) mounting, using dedicated 19-inch angles or frames. For lengths beyond 482 mm, mounting is limited to the enclosure frame to ensure structural integrity and proper cable routing in rack environments.
The strip provides 9 sockets (D-type) with earthing-pin F, CEE 7/3, rated for 250 V AC, 50 Hz and up to 16 A. It includes overvoltage protection and a dedicated interference suppression filter, and it uses a 2 m H05VV-F3G1.5 connection cable with wire end ferrules for secure field connections.
The unit ships with 2 mounting brackets and assembly parts, enabling rapid installation. Its 25 mm pitch pattern and flexible mounting options reduce warehousing diversity and simplify replacement planning. The aluminium frame and polycarbonate sockets deliver durable performance, while the included 2 m cable aids quick commissioning in new builds or retrofits.
