FAQs
Install the DK 7979.118 either horizontally at the 19" level or vertically in the zero-U space of a VX IT enclosure. Use the included connector lock for IEC C14/C20 connectors to secure the infeed and ensure the unit sits flush with the enclosure profile. The compact 44x845x70 mm footprint supports quick alignment, while the weight of 2.2 kg aids handling during mounting. This configuration minimizes installation time and preserves valuable cabinet space.
The PDU basic operates at 230 V (single-phase) with a maximum current of 16 A, delivering up to 3.7 kW of power. It provides 18 x IEC C13 outlets and 2 x IEC C19 outlets, suitable for a mix of servers, storage, and network gear. Infeed is 1~, and the unit uses an IEC C20 connector. These specs support reliable power distribution for mid-density IT deployments.
Yes, for many scenarios. Its compact footprint (44x845x70 mm) and flexible mounting enable dense rack configurations, while the 18 C13 and 2 C19 sockets cover common server and storage needs. The zero-U vertical mounting option is particularly valuable in tight spaces or edge deployments where every millimeter counts. Ensure your rack frame length meets the specified fit criteria (≥ 1,200 mm) for VX IT or TX CableNet configurations.
The PDU basic aligns with the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU and is specified to EN 62368-1 for safety. This combination supports CE marking and regulatory compliance in European data centers, helping simplify procurement and approval processes for IT infrastructure projects.
The PDU’s tool-free installation and lightweight design reduce deployment time and labor costs. Its robust construction with anodised aluminium framing resists wear in rack environments, while the integrated connector lock minimizes disconnect risk during vibrations or reconfigurations. Standardizing on this PDU also simplifies spare-part stocking and improves uptime by delivering dependable power distribution across IT workloads.
