About this Product

The AMTECS 0.18kW (0.25HP) Single Phase Motor is designed for reliability in demanding workshop and light industrial applications. This 2-Pole (3000 rpm) motor operates on a standard UK 240V single-phase supply and features a robust 63 frame with B3 - Foot mounting. As an IE2 efficiency rated motor, it provides significant energy savings over older IE1 models.

Key features include a built-in thermal reset switch for overload protection, a durable metal terminal box, and a versatile multi-mount design. Ideal for powering extraction fans, pumps, and blowers, this permanent capacitor motor delivers smooth, efficient operation for continuous duty applications. Supplied with a 12-month warranty and available for free next-day UK delivery.

IE2 Efficiency

Exceeds IE1 efficiency standards for lower energy consumption, reduced running costs and a smaller carbon foot print.

Built-in Thermal Overload Protection

Automatic thermal reset switch prevents motor burnout from overload, increasing the lifespan and reliability of the motor

Multi-Mount Design

Removable feet allows the terminal box to be mounted on the top, left or right for installation flexibility.

Durable Metal Terminal Box

Impact protection and secure capacitor and cable gland entry compared to brittle plastic boxes, ensuring safety in industrial environments.

Single Phase Motor FAQs

Yes, single-phase motors can be reversed by re-arranging connections to their terminals. The motor links can be moved to the alternative position, or the start winding connections can be reversed to change the rotation direction. Please see wiring diagram above for assistance or contact us.

Electric motors are normally supplied from the factory wired for clockwise rotation when looking at the drive shaft end. This is the standard factory configuration for most single-phase and three-phase motors.

For single-phase motors that need to operate in both forward and reverse directions, we recommend using a reversing contactor system. This setup includes interlocked contactors that prevent simultaneous operation in both directions, limit switches to control travel boundaries, and safety features like emergency stop buttons. This configuration is commonly used on car lifts where controlled bidirectional movement is essential for safe operation.

All our single phase motors come with a 12 month warranty. Returns are accepted within a 30 day period as long as the motor is new, unused with all its original packaging.

This motor is suitable to be used on a standard 240V supply. However, we can usually offer a 110V version on request. 110V motors are commonly used in workshops and construction sites where 110V is is mandatory to comply with Health & Safety requirements. Please contact our technical team by email (sales@mmengservices.co.uk), WhatsApp or call 01274 288777 to discuss availability.

A 2-Pole motor runs at approx. 3000rpm, whereas, a 4-Pole electric motor runs at approx. 1500rpm
